What are your thoughts on tee'ing two inexpensive compressors together to get adequate CFM at the same pressure?

My 04 Vibe is the same color. I had a lady pass me on the left and swiped my front fender and broke off the mirror. For $35 I bought a new mirror and buffed the tire marks off my car. These little cars are so easy to work on and parts are cheap. I love my little Vibe!!! Great video!!!

Paint went on very nice. Definitely enough pressure/cfm for a coat on a bumper. Like most cheap compressors it probably won't last forever but it does the job. When you have multiple panels or god forbid a whole car with not enough air do you do a panel at a time and then try to blend them with a very light final coat? I've got an old BMW that has a bit of blue metallic flake in the black paint (cosmosschwarz) and 25 years of door dings, dents and stone chips, i.e. hood to the metal, scratches to primer in pretty much every panel. Dents for the pdr guy to push/pull before I even think about blocking it out. Id like to spray it myself but thinking that if I do I should skip the original paint ($600/gallon) and pick a solid color (cheaper and more likely to be successful). Have you have any luck with getting these kind of paints consistent across the car. I can get a shop to spray it but I'd rather DIY if I can.

If you are trying to do a metallic flake with the lvlp do you mix up everything first so you can get consistent flake across the panels?

Sounds like you would have been better off with a 60gallon tank or a second reserve tank but the compressor managed to keep up. Tough to keep a wet edge across a full panel by the looks of it. Still it works and that's success. Dropping a couple of thousand on a shop quality compressor makes doing a good quality DIY paint jobs inaccessible for most of us. These LVLP guns look like they take more skill to do a good job with but it's definitely worth trying.

Great work brother! Quick question: With the Eastwood Concours Lt100, being an R500, should I use a 1.4 tip set for basecoat, since it's available, or does the 1.3 do just as well. Btw, this will be an overall paint job on a 2000 Chevy Silverado stepside, regular cab. Thanks, Kenny

You can shave them with a razor if you're slick. Saves a little time just getting the heads off the sags

How many cfm does your compressor deliver at 40psi? Can I use this gun with my 60 gallon 3.7 hp at 13.4cfm or do I need an air compressor with more hp?

thanks ! I just ordered one since i was less than just the 1.8 tip for my devilbliss. Painting those fender extensions for a 1977 Eldorado. The fiberglass parts are off the car right now.

Off topic - American Concepts Urethane 2k Primer (AP-5154 3/4 gallon + harder) $67 + tax + free shipping out of Miami FL on eBay. I got this kit a few days ago. The gallon can was beat to hell and back & it didn't have a plastic ring around the lid... FedEx would have had a mess... But I'm about to spray this tomorrow.. Figured I'd let some people know because the price is good... And I'm in no way affiliated with any of this...just looking out! 💪🏻🇺🇸🤙🏻

I cant get the whole kit as cheap where i live, the gun with only one tip is about the same price as you mention. I'm interested in a cheap gun that i can use for primers/fillers for smaller repair jobs. Painting a bumper would be largest job i ever do. At the moment i do fine with spray cans for base and 2k clear coat, but 2k primers/fillers are pretty expensive in spray cans. What tip would you recommend i buy ?

Use wax and grease remover, paint thinner is really harsh on plastics.
